Unfortunately, this evening's program is cancelled. We do look forward to rescheduling this for the Winter. Please keep an eye out for a new date!
Looking for an antidote to school and screens?
Join Strawtown Studio nature education expert, and earth artist, Laurie Seeman, for this inspiring talk with advice on how to live with Nature as a centering power of your family’s life and choices.
The talk will be followed by time for creating a nature craft centerpiece, symbolic for keeping your family engaged in nature experiences through the fast pace of the school year.
Joining Seeman will be long-time Strawtown parent and board member, Bari Lewart, who will speak to the long-lasting benefits for her son, of having been immersed in nature and creativity with Strawtown.
The presentation will include a short slide show for seeing the natural world through a child’s interest level and perspective, and discovering your own artistic lens. Seeman will also provide ideas for how to explore together and expand your family’s knowledge of the spectacular Lower Hudson Valley.
For parents of children ages 5 to 17. Children are welcome with parents.
