Big Kid Storytime: T Session I

Tuesdays at 10:30am.

Weekly storytimes for ages 3 – Kindergarten. Great books, games, movement and songs. Parents welcome!

Session I: Tuesdays from Sept. 19-Oct. 17. 

Session II: Tuesdays from Nov. 14-Dec. 5. (Register separately for Session II.)

Registration for programs occurring September 15 through December 31 will open on September 1 for Nyack School District patrons. Beginning September 15, registration for programs will start for out of district residents. Please register each child separately, using the child's name.

Upon first registration, VCL's Evanced registration system will send a confirmation. To receive reminders and other communication, please accept the initial confirmation email within 24 hours. Contact the library at 845-268-7700 if you do not receive the initial email.

Yarn Therapy

If you like to knit or crochet or would like to learn, join our “therapy” sessions. This program is for all levels. Someone will be on hand to help beginners. Come on in to knit, crochet and socialize. Bring friends or meet new people.

To the Farmers' Market We Go

Grades K-4

Come along on an interactive and imaginative visit to our local farmers’ markets to focus on delectable veggies and fruits with Master Gardener Volunteers of Rockland Cornell Cooperative Extension. Play an inventive produce game, create an edible project, and more.

Environment and Modern Agriculture

Larisa Schuckle, a Field Educator with the Ethical Choices Program, will explore how raising farmed animals and related crops affect ecosystems and our health through climate change, the depletion of natural resources, the pollution of soil, water and air, the use of pesticides, antibiotics, soil erosion, deforestation and world hunger. 

There will be a discussion on alternative choices that can help protect our environment.
